Major Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to drinking water, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "real steps" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and implementing sanctions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the city came under intense attacks overnight. A minor was killed and three other people were hurt.

The attacks succeed nights of air raids in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to identify.

Authorities told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
