No league promotes parity in the manner of the NFL: it’s the entire brand. But through the first ten matchups in this campaign, this isn’t a league featuring uniform distribution separating contenders, pretenders, and middle-of-the-pack clubs. NFC Standings Definition

In the NFC, at least, the picture becomes more distinct. Muddled AFC Picture

In the AFC however, postseason landscape remains completely chaotic. The current division frontrunners at this stage: the Colts, Patriots, Broncos (each with 8-2 records) and the Steelers (5-4 record). Read that again. No Chiefs presence. Not the Bills. Not the Ravens or Bengals. The usual contenders, featuring the league’s best quarterbacks, possess either significant personnel gaps or have suffered medical setbacks.

To some extent, this represents the NFL's perfect scenario. But watching this year’s four division leaders in the American Football Conference remains somewhat odd. Colts Situation

Denver Broncos

Baltimore constitutes part among three elite teams – alongside the Bills and Chiefs – fueled by former MVP signal-callers, who would still strike the greatest concern for opponents if they made the playoffs. They're the teams everyone hopes to avoid, however, both franchises cannot get out of their own way.

Buffalo Bills
